Overview

The Great Wildebeest Migration, also known as the Gnu, Serengeti, and Masai Mara Migration, is a major wildlife spectacle in Africa, attracting many to Kenya and Tanzania mid-year.

The Migration presents one of nature’s greatest paradoxes: while timing is crucial, predicting the exact movement of the animals remains impossible. We know that wildebeest, along with some zebra and antelope, will cross the Mara River, but the precise timing is uncertain. Similarly, we know that rain will prompt the wildebeest to move to fresh grazing areas, but the exact timing of the rainfall is unpredictable. Fortunately, since 2019, we have been organizing Wildebeest Migration safaris in Africa. Itinerary Details

Day 1 : Arrival Nairobi

Nairobi Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. You will be met by our Representative, who will brief you concerning your safari, and then transferred to your Hotel.

Day 2 : Nairobi to Amboseli National Park (250Kms – 4hrs drive)

After Breakfast you will be picked up and then drive to Amboseli National Park You will arrive at Amboseli National Park and check in at Lodge Camp after having hot lunch and some time to relax and enjoy the property, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Amboseli National Park is the best park to get close to the free-ranging over 1600 elephants and have spectacular views of the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. You also have an opportunity to get the best snapshots of the unique African sunset and sunrise. And a chance to meet the Masai people.

After the game drive, you will head to the camp to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have an overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 3 : 2nd Night at Amboseli National Park

Today the program is very flexible; you have two options to choose from:

Option one: Have an early morning game drive, return for a hot breakfast, freshen up and spend the rest of the midmorning at leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive. Finally, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Option two: You may have an early breakfast and proceed for a whole day game drive with packed lunch. Return to the lodge for dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 4 : Amboseli to Lake Nakuru. (400kms – 5.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, you will exit the camp/lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. On your way, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift valley viewpoint for a panorama view of the escarpment and take some photos. You will proceed with your journey, arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, and check in at Camp-4 STAR in time for lunch. Freshen up and have hot lunch at the camp.

Around 4 pm, after having some time to relax and enjoy the property, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive. This park is renowned for hosting thousands, sometimes millions, of flamingos, hundreds of both black and white rhinos, and highly endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Also, it has the best scenery and opportunity to see Makalia Waterfall. After the game drive, you will head to the camp to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 5 : Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve (300kms – 3hrs)

After having breakfast, you will head to Masai Mara, one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. On your way, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a panorama view of the escarpment. You will proceed and arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. Check-in at Lodge . Have some time to rest after having a hot lunch. Around 4 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive. Masai Mara is the highlight of every safari in Kenya. Reserve has the highest concentration of wildlife in Kenya. All the Big Five can easily be spotted together with many other animals. Since your safari falls from July to October, you will have the privilege of witnessing the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially while crossing the crocodile-loaded river Mara. After the game drive, we will head back to the camp to freshen up and enjoy dinner. Have overnight at the lodge.

Day 6 : 2nd Night at Masai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast and exit the lodge with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.

Day 7 : 3rd and Last Night at Masai Mara National Reserve

Today’s program is also very flexible; you can choose between three options.

Option 1: Breakfast and exit the lodge with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.

Option 2: You may opt to have an early morning game drive in search of the big cat and the killings, return for breakfast, freshen up and spend the rest of the mid-morning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive around 4 pm, searching for Big five and other animals.

Option 3: Go on for an optional hot air balloon ride (USD 430pp) in the early morning, followed by mid-morning game drives before driving to the lodge for lunch. Later have an afternoon game drive together with an optional Masai village visit.

After the game drive, you will head to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight

Day 8 : Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi (320 km- 5 hrs.)

Have an early game drive. Return to the lodge to freshen up and have a hot breakfast. After breakfast,
you will exit the lodge and head back to Nairobi. Depending on your flight back home, you will have a stopover at Lake Naivasha for an optional Hippo boat ride and animal sanctuary tour. You will proceed with your journey to Nairobi, where you will spend the day with optional activities depending on your flight schedule. Some Nairobi excursions are; a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, a visit to the Giraffe Center, a Visit to Maasai Market, and a dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant for meat lovers, etc.
You will later be dropped off at your Nairobi Hotel or JKIA airport for your onward flight.

Flight Timings: Clients should consider flight timings when reaching the airport. The company is not responsible for missed flights due to personal reasons, connecting flight issues, or airline-related factors.
Restricted Areas: Some areas or monuments may restrict vehicle entrance. In such cases, the vehicle will drop you at the nearest possible point, and clients must make further arrangements.
Additional Charges: Entrance fees, monument fees, and other activity charges are not included in the package unless specified in the inclusion section.
Peak Periods: The package may have different pricing during long weekends, national holidays, and regional festivals. Any cost difference will be communicated.
Surcharges: Any applicable surcharges will be advised during booking.

Exclusions: No offers, promo codes, or discounts apply to this package unless expressly notified by Happy Feet. This package cannot be combined with other schemes or offers.
Cancellation Policy: The cancellation policy aligns with the payment policy. The company is not responsible for additional costs or fees related to the issuance or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not made through the company.
Airline Responsibility: The Company has no direct control over third-party services like airlines. In case of last-minute flight cancellations or reschedules, the company is not liable for any financial, emotional, or physical impacts. The company will advise and assist but cannot be held responsible. In cases of connecting flight issues, the company will liaise with the airline but any charges will
