After breakfast, depart from Amman to embark on a fascinating day-long journey along the historic King’s Highway, once a significant part of the renowned Silk Road. Your adventure begins with a visit to Madaba, often referred to as “The City of Mosaics,” known for its Christian heritage. Explore St. George Church, home to a stunning mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times, and the Archaeological Park, where you’ll encounter the remnants of several Byzantine churches, including the magnificent mosaics of the Church of the Virgin. The park complex also houses a school dedicated to restoring and conserving ancient mosaics. Your next stop is the Monastery in Mount Nebo, a site of great significance. As you journey south through Wadi Al Mujib, a deep valley offering one of Jordan’s most awe-inspiring vistas, you’ll be captivated by its natural beauty.
